The lake level is 567.15 and has dropped a little less than an inch in the last 24-hours with both generators running most of the time. We are to get more rain for the next several days. The lake in general is in good condition but a little debris is blowing with the wind but not bad.  There is no brown water now but I do not know what the next few days will bring. Fishing is fair to good with bass being the best bite. Several are spawned out now as are some crappie but not nearly all.  The lake has risen exactly 10-feet since it's early low of 557 in April before the two big rains. The second one was not nearly as bad as the first but we did not have enough time to recover. The top-water bite for temperate bass and black bass should be in full swing but is not. The water just stayed at a surface water temperature of 60 for a long time and then at 65 for another long time with very cool nights. It is now in the high 60's to low 70's depending on where and when you take it. The water is stained but you can see your lure down a few feet and is good for fishing. It is very clear near the shore. Walleye fishing is the bright spot for the spring with several nice ones being caught. They are on main lake points and just around them in 20-ft. of water near the bottom. Bass are scattered everywhere as are crappie. Some crappie are still in the backs of the creeks and some are on main lake brush. Several smaller ones are showing up as are bass but so are big ones. Bluegill fishing is just starting and they are also on brush and under docks. Several fish of all kinds are still near the bank behind the buckbrush. Spinner baits and creature baits are working for several species. I will keep you informed after the rain leaves and the weather gets warmer. Things are changing everyday and old reports are not worth much. There are a lot of fishermen out there and the weather has been beautiful for several days but that is gone for now. Blackburns still has the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals and your first boat stall is free. We especially welcome fellow Veterans and Police here and will not charge you too much.
