The lake level is 569.85 and still rising a little with little generation. Most of the rain has gone north of us but is still in the Norfork lake watershed. We are mostly just holding Missouri water. It was very warm earlier this week with highs near 90 but has cooled to the 60's which is more seasonal. The lake was brown from Missouri to just south of Robinson Island but is settling out nicely now. Float Creek, Fall Creek and Panther Creek water all remained a good color for fishing. The surface temperature is still in the mid to high 50's on the main lake and gets much warmer on sunny warm days in the backs of creeks in shallow water. Most of the fish including bait fish are near the old shore line just above and around the buckbrush. Trollers are not catching much. Male crappie are moving up in the creeks and the females are still pre-spawn feeding but are scattered and roaming. The females are full of eggs with bloodlines and are wanting to spawn bad. Use a jerk bait early and switch to a 3-inch worm and a spinner bait a little after sunrise for about everything. There is a top-water bite for bass some days now so keep a lure ready. I am using a spook puppy and a spitin image.  The threadfin shad spawn will start when the main lake hits about 60 and the top-water bite will go into full swing then.  Panther Creek is a good place to start looking for this just at sunrise. I have seen that whole creek explode in April in the early AM. Crappie fishing is a little tough right now but bass fishing is good. It is about time for catfish to start coming into the creeks as soon as the small bluegill move in under the docks. Bass is the best bite now with about 1/4th of them being legal size. Please release as many fish as possible this spring during spawn season.  I do not bed fish. Come on down to Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental where we do not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free. Check prices and watch for price increases in the spring and then call us. Our summer rates do not start until Memorial day and we do not raise ours until then and have only two tier pricing.
