The lake level is 576.96 and has risen 3/4 of and inch in the last 24-hours. They just started up both generators after another 1/2 inch of rain this afternoon. The White River at Newport is 19.93 feet and there is plenty of room to let out more water. Bull Shoals is very high but they are generating heavily there and it is not as clear. Norfork is your best bet for diving. The surface water temperature is 81-degrees on  Norfork and the water is surprisingly clear. The thermocline is at 18-feet and there are a lot of fish at, just above and just below that level including Walleye and Crappie. Check out main lake points just inside the buskbrush and around the Islands. It looks to be a good year for spearfishing. The Walleye and Crappie numbers are good. Scuba Steve will keep you informed. They finally realized how hard spearfishing is under water. It was just because the fishing clubs thought it was easy. It is not. Scuba Steve has never got a full limit of Walleye or Crappie in 30-years of diving. He gets more excited at seeing a 8-lb. walleye that a 10-point buck. Gve it a try. It is fun and challenging.
