Scuba Steve with some nice Norfork Lake crappie diving out of Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental. Come on down.

The lake level is 555.51 and is down just a bit in the last 24-hours with one generator running for about 4-hours. The White River a Newport is 4.30 feet and low indicating not much water is being released anywhere. The surface water temperature is 89-degrees and the thermocline is at 29-feet. The visibility is good down to 27-feet and overall the lake is in excellent condition for diving, swimming, fishing and swimming. Some Stripers are on shad in 50-ft. of water and others are deeper in the oxygen bubble and not feeding. Several larger Walleye are with them. Other walleye and Crappie are on main lake brush in 27-30-feet of water. Spoons are working the best. Bass are on and around brush during the day and move in shallow to feed on Crawdads in the late evening. After dark fishermen are doing well wioth a black light and saltcraws on the first drop-off on steep banks. Bluegill are on top of brush and under docks and biting well on crickets. Fishing is pretty good for August. and the weather has been great. Now is the time to visit Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental for a short vavation before school starts. The children will love it.
