The lake level is 547.67 and is up 7-inches in the last 24-hours with one generator running for one hour in the last 2-days. They always quit generating when it rains. We received 1.25 inches of rain last night with lightening and thunder. We are no longer in a drought and things are very green. It is cooler today with a cold front but to get warm again tomorrow with no frost in sight. Blackburns is opening up all of the rest of our cabins for the spring and everyone is working hard to make them nice for you. There will be no price increases for 2026. The surface water temperature is 52-degrees and has not changed much in the last 2-weeks. Bryant Creek in Tecumseh is at 7.23 feet so the lake will continue to rise. The creeks run hard and are still running. brown. The people wanting heavy rain to raise the lake and mud up the water so they can kill more fish are getting their way. There is a Bass tournament today and we will see how they do. Blackburns has several customers in for it. At least they do not kill everything they catch. Scuba Steve has not killed a fish since last October but has stocked ponds for the children and retired people who cannot get out on the lake anymore. For Bass try a small crankbait back in the windblown creeks where the stained water meets the clrar water and where the water is the warmest. Also use a green stingray grub on a 5/16th ounce jig head. Live minnows on a slip float is working best for Crappie  on top of 20-ft. brush piles. Set you depth about 3-feet deeper than you can see your bait. You can also use a 1/4 ounce spoon vertical jigged in and close around the brush.  If you are in the Mountain Home area and need a plce to stay call Debbie at 870-492-5115 for a resevervation. No need to stay in a one room motel for big $ when you can stay at Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental for 69/day plus tax. We are closest to Mountain Home, ding and shopping and you can have peace and quiet and enjoy watching the wildlife. Scuba Steve does not do the wildlife anymore for some reason.
