Norfork lake Arkansas near Mountain Home in the Ozarks Mountains Region Fishing Report and Lake Condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rentsl.

The lake level was 545.55 and was up 1-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with no generation when Scuba Steve came in at dark last evening. They always quit generating when it rains for some reason. The rain has been miniscule here but there must have been more in Missouri because Bryant Creek has risen a foot meaning more clear water is coming into the Norfork River and into Norfork Lake. The lake is not too low but does not need to drop anymore and now they need to keep the level down for as long as they can without flooding out the farmers downstream and keep Norfork below 560 for as long as they possibly can.  They seem to be the only ones to not know the spring rains are coming.  A good idea would be to fire the person responsible for managing the area lakes and replace him with A,I. and put the Corps of Engineers under the Department of Interior. They are now dinasours and should not be in charge of anything.  Whatever they do except drive around in new 4-wheel drive trucks and inspect things nobody knows. Instead of hiring people to do maintenance on campsites, mowing grass, cleaning restrooms and checking people in they should do it or get out of the way. The surface water temperature was 48-degrees and the wind was calm and it was very peacefull with fog rolling in at dark. It was a beautiful cloudy warm evening.  Scuba Steve did not want ot give up on the day. He feeds the ducks and fish every day and they were waiting for him. He did not fish today and was working on and checking out boats but it was nice being out on the lake.
