The lake level is 547.25 and is down 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with varying amounts of generation but quite a bit. It is slow dropping at these temperatures with a 175-ft. deep lake. The lake is in good condition and at a good level going into the spring but I am not sure this is the controlling factor in the managing the lake level. They shut down power plants and are willing to dry gulch us to cover for their mistakes. Government. You gotta love them or send them to Iraq or fire them. ( they fired the Colonel) The lake level will never  get too low unless they let out too much water. They cannot blame anyone else but them selves. The lake is clearing as it cools and everything is fine. You can catch Crappie, Kentucky Bass on brush and red meat fish in open water on shad if you can find the feeding fish. Everything is normal for this time of year and it looks to be a good spring and there are a lot of fish in Norfork Lake. Just because you can catch and kill limits every day does not mean you should do it. People that do this are cutting their own throats especially guides. I remember when guides said fishing is tough and you need to go out with them to catch fish. Catch a few, keep a few and release a few and leave some for the children who love to catch something and are our future. No more dock floors and tables full of dead fish. It make you look like a glutton.
