The lake level is 548.45 and has dropped 2-inches in the last 24-hours with one generator running about 1/2 the time. The surface water is clearing and is about 45-degrees. Overall the lake is at a good winter level and in good condition for fishing. The White River at Newport is 1.93 feet and about ready to dry up. We have received a little less than 2-inches of snow so far with more to come tonight and tomorrow morning. The ground is not covered yet. The ambient temperature is 10-degrees and it is snowing very lightly. It looks like the ice is going south of us. The north wind is cold. Scuba Steve is getting out all of his electric clothes as the cold is going to last a while. When the eyelets on his fishing pole ice up and get into the reel and mess up the drag he quits fishing. It should get above freezing the middle of next week. While you are inside out of the weather this is a perfect time to plan your spring fishing trip and family summer vacation at Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.
