Norfork Lake Fishing Report and Lake Condition by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Resort and Boat Rental.

12/31/2025

The lake level was 549.28 and had dropped 1/2 inch in the last 24-hours with less than two hours of both generators running when Scuba Steve came in at dark last evening.  They are only generating when it gets cold and they need power. It is very dry here and they can adjust things any way they want. Southwestern Power is in charge of the generation when it gets below the power pool of 553.75 and they do not want to let out any water. Scuba Steve likes this water level and would like it to drop another foot or two bwfore the spring rains.   Both them and the Corps of Engineers are incompetent and they need to be disbanned and put uner the department of interior. The Corps of Engineed can build things but cannot manage anything. The water on Norfork is clearing again after the wind layed and Scuba could see his lure down about 5-feet. The surface water temperature was 51-degrees and still dropping. It should stabilize with the normal ambient temperatures starting for the next week. Scuba Steve does not like the big moon, high pressure and dropping water level but is still catching fish every day but has to work for them. He releases most of them anyway. He does not like meat hunters.   Stripers and Bluegill like the big moon. Everything else does not but they all have to eat just not as often. If you are wanting to go fishing and not walk on the water or drill holes in it come on down to Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental on Norfork Lake. It is nice here and the fish are biting. Scuba Steve will show you where when you get here. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental Has the best place with the best price on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks. Scuba Steve will show you where you can catch the giant crappie.
