The lake level is 553.84 and has risen 1/2 inch in the last 24-hours with not much generation. They continue on the same schedule of 3-hours of running one generator and a partial one the rest of the time. Bryant Creek is still very low at 4.3 feet so it is not going to rise much more. The weather looks very good for the next several days after today which is very cloudy with some rain later today. The White River at Newport is 4.97 feet and very low indicating not much water is being released anywhere. The rain cooled the surface water and it was 76-degrees when Scuba Steve came in at 6:PM last evening after the rain. We have received a two day total of 1.9 inches and the creeks ran but not fast. There was no wind. We needed it very badly and it greened things up almost like magic. The water is still stained green and Scuba Steve could only see his lure down less than 2-feet. Fishing is only fair and he only caught a couple of Bass and Bluegill until it rained him out. The fish are there but just not feeding. The fall foliage on the hillsides was changing but just due to dry weather and mostly just brown. There is more color today after the rain. I am not good about predicting fall foliage color but am good at reporting it becaise I am out and about everyday and will keep you informed. The rain sure did not hurt it any.
