The lake level is 560.09 and has dropped 3-inches in the last 24-hours with 1-1/2 generators running about 2/3rds the time and 1/3rd generator the rest. The White River at Newport is 12.26 feet and steady. They are still predicting that the level will be at 555.75 on 13 September but that is still above normal, what ever that is. Scuba Steve still says 552 is normal and it used to be below that at the end of August. Not now. We have just got our road and parking lot back and I have to start work on the road after it being under water for so long. You can now drive to the dock and step right on and launch you boat easily. The surface water temperature is 85-degrees and we could get some rain today and Thursday with good weather scheduled for the holiday weekend. The thermocline is at about 28-feet and the visibility is fair. Several fish remain in the 20-23 ft. range where the best oxygen is located. Not much is feeding but you can get some reaction strikes on spoons and worms. Kentucky Bass are still moving in shallow in the evening and feeding on Crawdads, Find brush in 30-ft. of water or less and that sticks up to about 20-feet and there will be fish on it. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental goes on their off-season rates next Monday and you will be able to get a cabin for $69/day and it comes with a free stall for your boat. Give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. The big pool with slide is open Come on down and we will not charge you too much. It is nice here and the price is right. We especially welcome Veterans and Police.
