The lake level is 568.59 and has dropped 5-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running full speed. The White River at Newport is 14.59 and stable. The thermocline is at 27-feet with poor visibility down to there and the surface water temperature is 89-degrees. They are still predicting the lake will be at 555.75 on 16 September. Overall the lake is in good condition for swimming, boating and water sports. Fishing remains the same and some good fish are being brought in every day but not a lot. Go out early, take the middle of the day off and go to the Ballistic Birdie and go out again about 7:PM or fish off Blackburns Dock for big Bluegill.  Kentucky Bass are biting salt craws under the black light. Scuba Steve is getting a few Walleye diving but is having to work hard for them. Debbie reports still having two cabins open for Labor Day weekend so give her a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation before we fill up and you have to pay much more elsewhere. Compare prices. A free stall for your boat comes with a cabin rental of two days or more. No hidden costs here. Come on down and we will not charge you too much. Why pay more unless you just have too much money? If you do stay at Blackburns and give the difference to disabled Veterans. Blackburns Resort is not for sale, has not sold and is not closing. We like it here and are not trying to cash in.
