Fisherman Mike with a nice one. We like these here at Blackburns.

The lake level is 570.70 and has dropped 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. The White River at Newport is 15.83 and dropping also. It is hot an dry with no relief in sight. On and in the lake and in Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental's big pool are the places to be. Campgrounds not so much. The surface water temperature is 90-degrees and the thermocline is at 24-feet. There is poor visibility from the surface down to 18-feet and then fairly clear. Several fish are at or near the thermocline and diving conditions are good. The lake overall is in good condition for boating, water sports, swimming, fishing and diving but still high. We need it to drop about another 11-feet. Bink is still catching Stripers deep and Bass fishermen are catching some under the black light. Otherwise they are in their summer pattern. They are carching huge Bluegill off Blackburns Dock on Crickets. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental continues to have the best place with the best price on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks. Give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. It is nice here and the price is right. We especially welcome Veterans and Police and want folks to be able to have an affordable vacation. The children will like it here.
