The lake level is 571.33 and has dropped 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. The White River at Newport is 16.25 feet and dropping. They are still Running Table Rock heavily and it is less that 1-ft. from Normal and is scheduled to be there on Wednesday. The other area lakes are scheduled to be at the tops of their power pools on September 15th. Bull Shoals is 26-feet too high and Norfork is 16-feet too high. The Corps of Engineers are incompetent and corrupt and they need top be placed under the Department of Interior. The surface water temperature is 90-degrees and the thermocline is 24-feet and dropping. There is a mud line with poor visibility from 17-23 feet. If the water is too hot for you just get on your scuba gear and go down to 25-feet where it is cool. Several fish are there. The Stripers are deep in the oxygen bubble and not moving or feeding. Start looking for them in 60-feet of water and deeper and drop a Bink's one ounce Many Shad spoon on their heads. They all die so keep everything you catch. No releasing this time of year. Fizzing does not work. All it does is allow them to sink to the bottom. Bink reports catching some big ones everyday. The black light fishermen are catching some nice Bass and Bluegill are biting crickets off docks. Ovarall the surface water temperature is rising, the lake level is dropping, the thermocline is dropping and the visibility is fair.
