The lake level is 572.96 and has dropped 3-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. The White River at Newport is 17.24 feet and steady and could be at 25-feet but they like ot hold the lakes up as high as they can for as long as they can except Table Rock which is approaching normal. The surface water temperature is 88-degrees and is clearing in both the creeks and on the main lake. The lake is down 6-1/2 feet from it's high a couple of months ago but we are still 17-feet too high. The lake overall is in good condition for boating, swimming and fishing. Fishing is not the best but some nice ones are being caught everyday. Stripers on spoons, Bass on saltcraws and black lights after dark and Bluegill off docks on crickets are the best. Some Bass and a few Walleye are around cover at the thermocline which starts at about 17-18 feet biting on plastic worms part way back in creeks and on main lake points.  Scuba contitions are getting better but not good again yet. There is a mud line with poor visibility at 15-20-feet where the fish are located. You have to get in the cold water and look up and go slow. If you are in the Mountain Home area stop by and check out Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental. We continue to have the best place with the best price in the Ozarks on both cabins and boat rentals. Our pool with slide is big and close to all of the cabins. You can drive to our dock and step right on. We are closest to Mountain Home, dining and shopping on 28-acres in a beautiful green valley surrounded by the Ozark Mountains and have a big dock with a free stall for your boat with a stay of 2-days or more. Compare prices and give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. We will not charge you too much and especially welcome Veterans and Police.
