The lake level is 573.27 and has dropped 2-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. The White River at Newport is 17.48 feet and dropping. They are running Table Rock heavily and dropping it quickly and it is only 3-feet high. Norfork is 17-feet high. When Table Rock gets below the top of their power pool maybe they will drop Norfork faster or just keep dropping the White River for no reason. It is hard to tell when the Government is running things. The surface water temperature is 89-degrees and the lake continues to clear. Fishing is about normal for July and is only fair. You can catch Bluegill off docks on crickets, Bass after dark under black lights on salt craws and Stripers deep on jigging spoons. The Bink's Many Shad Spoon is working the best. Drop it on their heads for reaction strikes. Overall the lake is in good condition for swimming, boating and fishing but still too high for normal lake access. It could be a lot lower if they wanted to. If you are in the Mountain Home area stop by Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental and check us out. It is nice here and the price is right. Also, if you paid too much for your cabin and also paid for your first boat stall, compare our prices and give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. All of out cabins are on flat level ground and no need to travel far to get to the resort, playground or swimming pool. We have no remote cabins and all are part of the resort. Why pay more?
