The lake level is 573.49 and has dropped 3-inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. They shut down the spillway gates but they were not open much anyway. The surface water temperature is 89-degrees and the water is clearing. The thermocline still starts at 17-feet where the water temperature is 74 degrees and stays that way to past 25-feet. There is a mud line from 15-20 feet. Visibility is better but not good yet. The two best bets for fishing are to go out early with a jigging spoon near the bottom at 30+ feet for Stripers and a Few Walleye and then after dark with the black light and salt craw for bass. Otherwise Bluegill are biting off docks on crickets. Divers are getting Walleye and White bass at the thermocline and just below but the visibility is not good. The lake leverall is in good condition albeit too high. They could let water out until the White River is 25-feet with no problen if they wanted to but they refuse. It is 17.56 feet now and steady there. Things are looking good here at Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental and we continue to have the best place with the best price on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks. A free stall for your boat comes with a cabin rental of two days or more. Compare prices and give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. It is nice here and the price is right. We are the Norfork lake Family headquarters. The children will like it here.
