The lake level is 574.11 and has dropped 3.3 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously and spillway gates open just a crack. Not much. The White River at Newport is 18.08 feet and dropping and could be a lot more. They just will not let out much water. Table Rock is 4-feeet above normal and Norfork is 20. Go figure. They love to hold the lakes up high except for Table Rock. The surface water temperature is 88-degrees and the water is clearing from the heavy holiday boat traffic but the clarity is not good yet. The thermocline starts at 17-feet where the water is 74-degrees and then it is cold at about 21-feet. There is a mud line between 17 and 21-feet with poor visibility and a lot of Bass, White Bass and Walleye are at that depth near cover. Scuba conditions are getting better but are not good again yet. The Walleye are there but are hard to see. Scuba Steve is seeing no Crappie yet. Mostly Walleye and White bass. Bink is catching Stripers on his Many Shad Spoon near the bottom in 30+ feet of water. White bass are schooled and in about 20-ft. about 6-feet off the bottom on main lake points but can be about anywhere. Bass are on the old shoreline around in any cover. There are some nice sized Kentucky Bass. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental continues to have the best place with best prices on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks.
