The lake level is 578.20 and is up 15-inches in the last 24-hours with a total of 1.7 inches of rain yesterday afternoon and last night. They just started up both generators two hours ago. It is 1.80 feet from going over the spillway. The creeks are running but not bad. Bryant Creek at Tecumseh has crested but is still 7.48 feet and sending a lot of water into the Norfork River. The White River at Newport is 20.03 feet and rising very slowly. It could easily be at 25 feet but they will not do it. Bull Shoals is rising with heavy generation going into it from Table Rock Lake and is very high. If it rains anymore they will have to open spillway gates on Norfork again especially if it rains in the Ava, Tecumseh area. It does not look good for Wednesday. The surface water temperature is 80+ degrees and should rise with very warm ambient temperature coming later this week. There is good visibility down to the thermocline at 18-feet and a lot of fish are near that depth including Bass, Walleye and Crappie. Stripers are deep and a spoon is the bait of choice. Drop it on their heads, snap the lure up about 5-feet and let it fall on slack line. If it quits falling set the hook. Look for broken schools of shad. Try a small spinner bait or a grub and minnow for Bass. The moon is getting smaller and the lake is rising and the Catfishing is getting better and it neeeded to. It had almost stopped.
