The lake level is 570.16 and has risen 1.2 inches in the last 24-hours with 5-hours of running both generators. There is no effort to drop the lake. The surface water temperature is 68-degrees and starting to rise again. The White River at Newport is 14.60 feet and dropping but Bull Shoals is not dropping. They are below normal at Table Rock and are still pumping a lot of water into Bull Shoals from there for some reason, making it go even higher and not letting out much from Bull or Norfork. The High Water Corps Of Engineers is at it again. Flood out Branson Landing and they will find out if the lakes are for flood control only. They tried that already and it did not work out for them and my bet is that it won't happen again no matter what is does to the other area lakes. The water is clearing with not much runoff and is a good color for fishing but fishing has slowed a bit. There is a top-water bite for White Bass early and after dark they move under lights around docks when the shad move in. Catfish do not like the big moon and have slowed a lot. Scuba Steve is still catching some but not nearly as many. Some Bass are coming up early but not a lot. A lot of creek minnows are showing up on the old shoreline before the lake rise in the brush and several Bass are on them. I like a small grub on a jig head tipped with a live minnow. Check around flooded Willows for Bluegill.
