The lake level is 569.58 and is up 1-3/4 inches in the last 24-hours with absolutely no dam discharge since midnight. They are holding Norfork, Running Table Rock as fast as they can generate with spillway gates open a bunch flooding out Bull Shoals. Table Rock is 1-ft. above normal and Bull Shoals is over 20-feet above normal. People that say the dams are for holding water with no politics involved go figure and tell that to Bull Shoals. There needs to be a congressional investigation about this. The surface water temperature is just under 69-degrees and dropping slowly. Fish are biting. Red meat fish are biting top-water in the early mornings, Crappie have finished spawning are on the old shoreline before they flooded us out and biting jigs and grubs and minnows. Some Bass are still guarding nests but most are finished. I am not seeing fry under Blackburns Dock yet but there will be soon and the big fish will move in. It was a great spawn overall for Bass and Crappie. Work a weightless swim bait on a worm hook also in the brush. White is a good color. I have not caught a Walleye but Bink reports catching a few on top-water on shad. Scuba Steve has been busy catching Catfish. Some large Channel Cats are moving in with the Flatheads and are biting 3-inch live Bluegill despite the big moon. There used to be many big Blue Cats in Norfork but their nuimbers are way down for some reason. Catfish bite best when the moon is little and the water is rising slowly but he is catching some nice ones everyday.
