The lake level is 568.59 and has dropped 2-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with one generator running continuously and spillway gates open to an equivalent of another 2-1/4 generators. We reveived another 1-inch of rain last night and today and the creeks are running again. It was 568.47 at 11:AM this morning and has come up 1-1/2 inches since then. Bryant Creek at Tecumseh is 6.89 feet and has come up 2-feet but has crested for now and is going back down. The lake would be rising if they were not letting so much out and may be by tomorrow night anyway. There is a break in the rain now and it quit about noon. The White River at Newport is 24.43 and fairly stable and the surface water temperature is 64-degrees. Blackburns Creek is a darker brown now. Scuba Steve is going out fishing as we speak and will let you know what is happening and there is a lot of that. We need to get by until tomorrow evening. This will not stop the top-water bite. Bass and crappie are spawning all over the place and all of the water is brown is this area and is the same color in the creeks as in the main lake. Some debris but not bad. No top-water bite tonight. Bryant Creek went back up to 10-feet Sat. evening. The lake will come up with more rain on the way. Scuba Steve hopes they do not cut back on discharge. Caught two keeper Bass this evening. Not too good but the weather was nice and there was no wind. I saw one other boat and he was staying at Blackburns cabin #1. Left the light on for him. Everyting is good here so far. What a wonderful 26th annual Easter Egg hunt. 1,600 eggs. Should have been here and brought the little ones. Many did. Norfork lake Fun here at Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental. We have it all and at the best price. Something for everybody.
