The lake level is 568.10 and is up 1-1/2 feet in the last 24-hours and they started up one generator for several hours. It is rising about 1/2 inch an hour with the one generator running and Bryant Creek at Tecumseh is 7.63 feet and dropping which is a good sign. The White River at Calico Rock is 14.40 feet and dropping. It had been at 28-feet. The White River at Newport is 32.41 feet with the Black River filling it up. Things are tough in the Pocahontas area. We have a lot of friends there and wish them well. 26-feet is flood stage at Newport. The Creeks are running slowly now here and the water is clear. The water is a brownish blue color on the main lake and you can see down about 2-feet and the creeks are brown but the mud will drop out quickly with sunny skies and light wind and no rain for a week. The surface water temperature is 55-degrees on the main lake and has been stable with the cold nights. There is a freeze warning for low lying areas again tonight. Scuba Steve graded the road and fixed broken water lines all day yesterday and everything is back to normal. The runoff moved a lot of gravel around to say the least. Now I will work on the dock road. Things could have been a lot worse and we received no severe weather. It is spring in the Ozarks and the rains come. The next week looks great. Bass fishing is the best. Fish where the brown water meets the clear water with a crank bait.
