The lake level is 554.27 and has risen 9-inches in the last 24-hours with a total of 1.4 inches of rain. It came in two shots and it rained hard with the last coming about 4:PM. Rain is scheduled for the next two days but how much keeps changing. The surface water temperature is all over the place with the runoff but has stayed at about 56-degrees on the main lake. It is to ramain cool for the next several days so it will not rise with the cold front coming in Sunday. They quit generating yesterday as they always do when it rains in order to maximize the level rise. The White River at Newport is 7.08 feet and very low with plenty of room to hold more water so far. Bryant creek at Tecumseh, Missouri is 4.65 feet and dropping so not much water is heading down to the Norfork River yet. So far so good. The St. Croix Bassmasters took off from Buzzard Roost Marina this morning and I wish them well. The first weigh-in starts at 3-PM. They will only postpone if there is lightening for safety purposes. There are 243 boats. Thanks to the City of Mountain Home for sponsoring this event. The water is brown from the runoff in Blackburns Creek and is out towards the main lake. I have seen it a lot worse but Scuba Steve does not like brown water but the wind has shifted to from the north. Everything is fine here at Blackburns so far and I would not pay much attention to the sensationalists predicting doom yet.
