I talked to a fisherman from Virginia. He said the leading weight is now 26 pounds. He also said he liked this lake and caught over 40 fish a day but a lot of small ones. 26 lbs. is not too bad considering there are still a lot of big bass in open water on shad, there was no after dark bite with the shad moving to the bank and the water temperature is still 57-58 degrees and bait fish are everywhere. Those small ones will not remain small for long. The big stripers are biting if you know where. It was a cold and windy day but the sun was shining.
