Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 553.51 and they just started generating at 8:AM this morning the first in several days. Lake is at a good level.  The water temperature is 56 in Blackburns Creek. I caught several crappie but no big ones. They were all anout 11-inches. All went in the pond including one kentucky Bass. Lake is still brown in this area and just does not want to clear up but you can find good color not far away. Fishing is good one day and slow the next.  It is raining lightly now and we need it badly.Dogwoods and Bradford pears are blooming and the grass is greening up. Spring is late but looks to be on the way but a few cool days are just ahead.  Normal high is 61 but it seems to be either 80 or 50. The fish are getting more active.
