Scuba Steve with a couple of pretty good ones.
It was in the 70's yesterday morning and dropped to the high 40's by afternoon and was very windy. It is beautiful today with highs in the low 50's and sunny. I tried to get out of most of the wind and drifted across brush piles with the grub and caught some nice crappie. Some were very large and a few bass too. The lake level is 552.38 and stable with no generation for two days except for the worthless minimum flow. We will see what this high pressure brings today. Fishing is not usually the best for me right after it first moves in but gets better until the next cold front. It is fun to catch fish when nobody else can. Persistence will be the answer today.
