Scuba Steve with some Nice Norfork Lake BassImage title

The lake level is 571 and has risen 3-inches in the last 24-hours. One day the main lake is stained green and clearing and the next day it is brown in the same area. Must be some slugs of runoff moving through. The creeks are brown but getting lighter. There is some debris but not too bad. I would not recommend boating after dark.  I caught some nice fish spooning brush, John caught some big bass and Tom caught open water fish. One hybrid was very large. Big black bass are showing up quite regularly now . The crappie did not start for me last evening. I was using a 1/4 ounce blue and white Bink's jigging spoon and caught several Bass in the 3-5 pound range. Today is just like yesterday and the sun felt very good. There is a lot of work getting done here at Blackburns with the nice weather. Deposits are due January 15th to hold cabins and boats of your choice for the upcoming season. This should be a banner year for walleye. Come on down. We will not charge you too much.
