Caught fishing with Bink;s Guide service on his jigging spoon. We like those Walleye. 
The lake level is 555.71 and they hit the top of the power pool and quit and are only scheduled to generate about 6-hours today. Hold up high is their motto and flood us out is their game. It is a good thing it has been dry. A rain is on the way and should be here in a couple of hours. It is badly needed. Most of this one is going North. The White River is at 4.60 feet and they would let it dry up before dropping the area lakes to a normal level. 552 would be nice for Norfork and we are at a good level now but there is not much surge capacity for a big rain. It is to be hot for the rest of this week with highs in the low 90's. The lake has changed a bit with the thermocline at 31-feet and very pronounced. It is homogenous down to 31-feet and gets very cold there. The visibility is fair down to the thermocline and clear under. Scuba conditions are good but the larger fish are in the cold water for some reason. Several Kentucky Bass and smaller Walleye are in the warm water on brush and the larger Walleye and big Bass are deeper. The big schools of Crappie have not moved in from the main lake yet. I have found some crappie in a few places but not many and they are very spooky. The surface water temperature is 83-degrees. and perfect for swimming, boating, diving and fishing. Conditions should be good for the last holiday and I expect a big crowd. Blackburns has one cabin open so give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation before we are full and you have to pay much more elsewhere. We also have a couple of pontoons available starting at $115/day. Yes blackburns has the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks and it is very nice here. The children will love the big pool with slide and baby pool and the very large flat play ground. We are pet friendly.
