Caught fishing with Bink's Guide Service. WOW.
The lake level is 560.17 and has dropped 1/2 inch in the last 24-hours with 9-hours of generation. We received 1.4 inches of heavy rain yesterdays morning and it was badly need. We had reveived no measurable rain this month. It is amazing how they have been able to hold the lake level up so high for so long. They like high water and diminished services. The thermocline is 26-feet and very pronounced and the water is more clear down to there than it was. Visibility is fair and you can see about 5-feet at the therrmocline. The surface water is 86-degrees. The creeks are clearing. The lake overall is in good condition for swimming, boating, Scuba Diving and fishing. Open water striper fishing is the best right now followed by Bass fishing in the late evening and after dark on Saltcraws. They are moving to the bank to feed. Try just northeast of Cranfield Island. Some Walleye are on main lake points near the bottom near or just under the thermocline and some are going deep with the Stripers but Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental will not get deep in your pockets and continue to have the best place and the best price on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks. A free stall for your boat at our dock comes with the cabin rental. We rent a lot of boats and have a big dock but also limited dock space. They will not allow us to expand. Be sure to tell Debbie at the the time of reservaion what kind of boat you are bringing and do not just show up with the Queen Mary unannounced. Our 1-bedroom cabins start at $90/day with 2,3 and 4 bedrooms prices accordingly. All cabins are individual with no duplexes and all have big covered porches to get out of the sun and weather and the big pool with slide and baby pool is open. Give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115 for a reservation. We are closest to Mountain Home, dining and shopping and near the middle of the lake close to everything including the best beaches with facilities in the area.
