Things are looking good here at Blackburns. Come on down. Image titleImage titleImage title

The lake level is 558.28 and is up 1/2 inch in the last 24-hours with one generator running from 9:AM to 5:PM. They need to drop the lake. The White River at Newport is 14.15 feet and rising. The water is churned up from the holiday traffic and the visibility is not the best especially off muddy and clay banks. There is a thermocline at about 18-feet but not very big and not very pronounced. Brush at this depth is holding a lot of fish of different species especially on pea gravel banks. Visibility is about 5-feet. I caught a striper, two bass, a big crappie and two walleye all off the same brush pile on a 1/4 ounce Bink's Spoon. One Walleye was about 4-lbs.
