Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 558.70 and has risen 1-inch in the last 24-hours with both generators running continuously. We received about 1-1/2 inches of rain in the lst 24-hours and the creeks are running pretty hard and the lake will rise more causing the lake to muddy up in the back. The main lake is finally clearing with the big rain several weeks ago. The surface temperature is 48 and is dropping very slowly. The ambient high is normally 50 now and I do not expect the water temperature to drop much more expecially with the highs to get into the 60's this weekend. Open water fishing is best right now on the spoon but you have to spend more time looking than fishing. I am not catching much on brush piles. Fishing overall is fair to poor but some fish are being caught. Better than staying on the sofa.
