John Bornhop with some of yesterday's catch.
The lake level is 558.15 and is about what it was at this time yesterday with just about 2-hours of generation. They are still dropping Table Rock to keep it at or below normal. it is time to let some water out of Norfork Boys. You have had plenty of time and have failed again. Rain is on the way (surprise) and they usually quit generating when it rains to maximize the water rise. And there are people that want the government to run more stuff. The lake in general is in excellent condition with the spawn continuing with the bluecats ready to spawn now. The smaller crappie caught yesterday had not spawned and the larger ones had finished. The top water bite for red meat fish is improving and fishing should be good for the next several days with cloudy skies and warm temperatures. We are to get heavy rain tonight. We will see. it is clouding up now as we speak. Bass are about equally divided by being in the buckbrush and in open water on shad and a little over half of them have spawned with several males still on the beds. Come on down to Blackburns. We will not charge you too much. You will need those covered porches with the rain. If you stay elsewhere do not forget your umbrellas. John Bornhop and Tom Kelly caught some good fish yesterday. Tom with bass and John with crappie and catfish. I did not see the other people as they are fishing hard.
