The lake level is 555.40 and they let it come up another 4-inches yesterday with 20-hours of no generation. More rain is on the way. They are generating now finally. The backs of the creeks are still brown and are slow clearing. The surface temperature is still in the mid 40's depending on where you check it. It does not look like there will be a shad kill this winter unless it gets very cold. The nighttime lows are rising now and the normal high is 49. I picked up one of my rental boats from getting serviced and launched it and went to check it out to see if everything worked by fishing a couple of Blackburns new brush piles. Six crappie were caught over brush in 30-feet of water using the 1/8th ounce Bink's spoon. The ambient temperature did not get out of the 30's but I had on my heated gear and it was not too bad. The visibiity was very stained on the main lake and none in the creeks. Daffodils are up and the grass is getting green again but not much has happened in that direction the last two days.
