The new news is the lake has dropped 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with continuous generation. This is good and I hope it keeps going until we get to 548. It is exactly 556 now. It looks like cooler weather is headed this way for several days and then warm back up the middle of next week. Cooler weather should bring the crappie back up shallower and bass to the bank in the evening. I was surprised to find crappie in 35-ft. brush near the bottom again yesterday on the spoon. Dave Titus caught some good bass and crappie and Tom Kelly some very large crappie and I caught some of both. I really like winter bassin but the surface temperature needs to drop just a bit for it to get good from just fair.  Open water fishermen are finding fish at all depths of water but most are suspended at about 45-feet with stripers being a little deeper than the white bass. They are doing a lot more looking than finding but white bass are the best bite for them with several very small stripers showing up in big schools. I am out there everyday and have some very good fishermen reporting also. We will let you know. Bring your winter clothes for now but some very large fish will be caught in the next few days.
