The Sun is Shining and it is a Beautiful Day

We received three inches of rain in the last 24-hours and it was badly needed. It almost all sunk in as it was slow and steady with no wind. There were storm watches but none materialized. The lake has risen about two inches to 553.87 with no generation since last evening. Fishing is better when the lake is rising slowly rather than dropping or rising quickly. I like this lake level.  I will get back out there after the work is done here at the resort. The dock is freshly painted and the floor stained and it looks great but boat stalls are still free. Blackburns is only 1/2 full and needs more customers. Come on down. 1-800-635-0526.

Norfork Lake Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions

The lake level is 557 and is exactly where I like It. Brush piles are at good levels and have fish on them. The surface temperature is in the low 70's and could be 65 for better fishing. They are still dropping the lake 3-inches a day which is easier now with the lower level. Fall foliage is changing and is on pace for a late October peak. Yes Blackburns dock is in excellent condition and we have the full parking lot, all roads back and launching is at a very good level. We are fortunate to have two launch areas where other people do not have any and you have to go elsewhere to launch your boat. That makes it rough on single fishermen. You can launch your boat here and go about 50-feet to your free boat stall and step on the dock. Get your stick baits, spoons and top water lures packed up and come on down. My grub stays on permantly. Blackburns Creek was full of shad last evening. We still have free boat stalls, no extra charge for trolling motors on pontoons and all cabins are individual with covered porches and no duplexes. Weather is to warm up to near 80 again later this week. If you are staying at a place where you are nearly the only customer you are paying too much but that is ok if you have too much money. We are on winter rates.
