The lake level is at 547.01 and has risen 4-inches in the last 24-hours. They have been generating heavily for about 4 or 5 hours in the mornings for the last two days. The lake entrances of the creeks are turning brown and running a bit indicating the ground is saturated. Pigeon creek was brown yesterday. I am not fishing creeks but all main lake. We got in several hours of fishing yesterday between showers and no rain so far this morning. We have not been completely rained out yet. We will see what tomorrow brings. Sunday looks to be sunny with more rain coming later in the week. This is normal and I am pretty much pleased about the way the corps of engineers have managed the lake so far this winter and that does not come lightly from me. The lake is in excellent condition. Crappie and bess are still the best bite and I am pretty much catching both every day. Some bass are still deep at 50 ft. on the bottom and some still in 25-30 feet with the crappie. Blackburns only keeps 5 cabins open for the winter but people are taking advantage of our low rates on both cabins and boat rentals and free boat stall and we are full now. Our guests and rental boats are all over the lake and we thank you for your repeat business. We will not charge you too much. All of the money goes to improvements and we have made a lot of them.
