Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The surface temperature dropped just a bit and is about 45. Clarity is about the same and the lake is stable at 545.4 and we received about 0.3 inches of rain. They must have got more other places because the lake come up just a bit. We have a little surface moisture but the overall ground moisture is low. We are very dry. I had to get three rental boats ready for tomorrow and later this week and when I was done decided to go fishing. The wind came up and it was very cool. A few minutes later it cleared, the wind died and the sun came out. Fishing was slow for me and I just caught a few with nothing to brag about. It was just nice to be out there. Blackburns has several people in with mostly fishermen. Only one cabin open tonight. Wish fishing could be better for them. The full moon is the first of March and may be too early for the spring night bite for stripers. Everything is iffy now and you need to be out there everyday to get a feel for what is happening. I have the best fishermen on the lake reporting to me and you will be the first to know and we will not charge you too much when you get here. I just spent my last $15,000 on cabin improvements so come on down so we can do some more. We have no price increases here at Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental on Anything again this year. Why pay more? Free boat stall. No duplexes and all cabins have covered porches.  Several pontoons have trolling motors at no increased prices.
