Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

Lake level is 545.78 and still dropping with heavy generation in the mornings. This is as low as we need to go. If they keep going I will have to move my dock again soon.  It is to be in the high 50's today and in the 60's tomorrow with light south winds. Perfect days for fishing. I will be out there fishing for bass and crappie after my work is done. Spooning Blackburns brush piles close to the resort. I do not have to go far. Blackburns creek has been like glass in the evenings I see no fish activity and am not finding many fish in any of them.  All of mine are on main lake. The days are getting longer and you can fish to nearly 6:pm. I am catching most of my fish between 4 and 5:30 PM. There is a long list of people wanting me to bring them crappie. The trophy pond is stocked up for now. The weather wants to warm up but just will not stay there. The lake is in good condition but we are in a pretty bad drought with several inches of below normal moisture.
