Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

Tom Kelly caught some very nice crappie. Gus thanks you. See you on the lake.Image title

The lake level is dropping again and is at 546.36 with heavy generation starting this morning. I was hoping they would not drop it anymore as I will have to move the dock again soon. The level was about 548 at this time last year. It has been a bit windy the last few days and good for bass fishing. It is beautiful today and I will be out as soon as i get my work done. We are making a lot of improvements here at the resort every day. There will be no price increases again this year and we still do not charge for your 1st boat stall unless you bring your own pontoon and the top will not go down. We have 11 of them to rent. I caught bass yesterday on the spoon and Tom Kelly caught some very nice crappie. All of the fish were on Blackburns Brush piles. Open water fishermen are not doing the best but that is normal for this times of year. The lake is clearing a bit but is still not where it should be. Last year's flood and holding the level up for so long really made for long lasting changes on the lake. There are a lot more big logs on the bank or partially in the water creating more obstacles. Do not cut points or you will be getting a new prop or lower unit. Listen to live in the Boat tomorrow on KTLO at 97.9 at 8:45 AM. Bink will update his fishing tips. I am proud to sponsor the show. Good stuff.
