Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home in the Ozark Mountains Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

I went fishing yesterday and it was tough for me. I caught a few but had to work hard for them. i went to three places where the crappie are thick and could not get many to bite. Tried minnows, grub with minnow and spoon. Will try again today. It was beautiful out and no wind. Lake is in excellent condition. Stripers are moving south down the river as the lake cools. The cool nights are cooling it nicely. It is nice to have fall begin 1/3 way into November with highs to be near 70 and lows in the 40's for several days. We are getting dry again. The fall foliage is turning brown and falling with little or no color. My maple tree is not even turning red or the sumac. The lake level is stable with just a little generation to keep up with the river inflow. It will be getting dark at 4:30 by the 21st of December but that does not bother me much. I have not worn a watch for 21 years and go by the sun. If it helps the kids to not get on ther bus in the dark mornings that is fine with me. I hope that is the only reason. If they were worried about energy they would not start school so early after summer vacation and take spring breaks. I like fall fishing but am always sad to have diving season end. We are lucky to not have the lake freeze over and have no closed fishing season.
