Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

I went diving yesterday and the surface temperature was near 75 degrees. The visibility on main lake points was bad and the walleye, white bass, most black bass and nearly all of the bait fish were gone. I had to try it again as they have been loaded in there for a few weeks.  I did see several crappie in 30-ft. on top of brush. Got some nice ones. It is cloudy and cooler today and I will try pole fishing again. Fishing has gone from bad to good to just fair now. Crappie fishing is the best with bass next but bass are not biting as well as they were a few days ago. Many have moved out to open water again. Predictions of water temperatures in the mid 60's have not materialized and it has actually gone up a few degrees. Also reports of the main lake being clear is also not true, especially from Cranfield to Robinson Point where I fish. It is very cloudy from just below the surface down to 50+ feet. Tom Kelly reports catching a 22-inch Plus Walleye in the trophy pond and releasing it. That makes me happy. There are bigger ones in there than that. We are to get some weather in the 60's for a couple of days and then back to the mid 70's. Fall foliage is coming around slowly and still looks to be near peak the very last of this month. It is beautiful here. Come visit and we will not charge you too much and give you a free boat stall. 1-800-635-0526 The lake is in excellent condition. We received a little rain last night about 0.8 inches.. We are still dry but not as bad as we were.
