It continues to be hot and dry with a little relief coming soon. The surface water temperature continues to be in the mid 80's and many fish are still in open water suspended. It is great for boating, swimming and all water sports. The stripers are suspended in deep water less than 40-ft. down and there are concern of low oxygen levels. We need rain and cooler weather to prevent a fish kill. Stripers are being caught on Bink's Jigging spoons, catfish on trotlines and jugs on live bait and bass after dark on saltcraws and on plastic worms early morning and late evening on main lake points. It could be better.
