Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home Blog. (Click Here For Comments)

We have received another two inches of rain to bring the total up to about 5-inches here at Blackburns for the entire long weekend.  It has been mostly in the late night and morning and people have been able to get in pretty good boating days. Not as much as they wanted but several hours each day. They had the fireworks as scheduled and nothing has been a wash out. The creeks are running now but the lake is still dropping slowly and is at 554.70 and they still want it to get to 553 for gate maintenance. The level at Newport is below 9-feet so they should continue generating. The government web site for lake levels has been down for all weekend. I guess they need their time off too. Surely there is someone driving the train. Some people think the whole world stops until they finally get back to work and other people work to pay them. The lake will return to normal later today and you can get the fishing boats out again. This looks to be a good week to get out on the lake after today. 1-800-635-0526 I will get a report after I come out of hiding.
