Sunny and cooler today with temperature in the 50's. It is to be back in the 70's by Wednesday. The lake dropped 1-inch in the last 24 hours and is at 554.13 with pretty steady generation. It is at a good level but still too high for March. The creeks are clearing again and there is moss growing around docks and in shallow water on the bottom. I have not seen that before on Norfork Lake in March. It did not happen when the lake temperature did not drop below 50 a few years ago. It is still 56 now. We have had milder winters before. It looks like we will have to mow the yard before the annual Easter Egg Hunt next Saturday. It is a big deal and the kids love it. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental is the fun place.  I can not give much advice to open water fishermen except that the fish are moving to the main lake point banks at night and are in deeper water not too far from there during the day. I look for river channel steep banks for fish during the day on spoons and trolling umbrellas.   I am seeing a few fish coming up during the day and they are mostly bass. The big schools of shad are gone from the main lake in my area. Scuba Steve caught Some nice fish yesterday as did Bink. I am not having an easy time fishing the afternoons but am catching big fish and that is what I want. The water seems to get glassy in the evenings when the air cools and the fishing gets tough. The wind has shifted to the north and is cool but not too bad. I am using stick baits, wiggle warts, spoons, grubs and road runners. Call 1-800-635-0526 for reservations. Blackburns has the best prices. You do not have to go somewhere else to launch your boat and we do not charge for boat stalls.
