The lake was like glass when I went out last afternoon. I do not like that. The level is 553.33 and still rising with one generator running continuously with a water temperature of 55. I spooned three brush piles and got nothing and moved to creek banks with cover. Fishing was slow for me and I caught some smaller bass but not the walleye I was looking for. The conditions were just not right for me to fight. I wanted to find some walleye but again was unable to do so. My best chance was to stay out until dusk but I broke my favorite rod bringing in a big fish of some kind and lost my lure so I just came in. The sun is shining now for the first time in a week and looks and feels good. They are predicting storms for later but looks like most of them will stay south of us. We are fortunate here on Norfork Lake to have avoided severe weather and flooding. Bink is fishing the south end of the lake and catching more fish than me. I guess I will have to go with him again and get some more lessons. It does look like spring is here. I am just happy to be able to be out there. Call 1-800-635-0526 for reservations. We are nearly full starting next week. Wish you were here.
