Norfork Lake Fishing Report By Scuba Steve From Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental On Norfork Lake Arkansas Near Mountain Home In the Ozark Mountains (Click Here for Comments)

A Good Day On Norfork Lake With Steve and Brian Deardoff.Image title

The lake is still rising a bit with very little generation and is at 553.74 and is in good condition. Surface temperature is in the low 50's and rising slowly. It is dry here and the first part of the upcoming rain will soak in. There must be some reason why they are not generating but it is too complicated for this poor old Chemical Engineer. The level at Newport is just over 10-feet and is allowed to go to 21-feet by the old prehistoric regulations. I hope it is not surprising to our so called leaders that it rains here in Arkansas in the spring. It was a very good day and night for fishing here on good old lake Norfork yesterday. That spring south wind really gets those big bass a biting. Main lake cuts with a crank bait was working yesterday and a stick bait for stripers after dark. It was cloudy, warm, windy from the south with a low pressure moving in is about as good as it can get as far as fishing is concerned. Steve and Brian Deardoff said the Ranger Boat needed checking out. I am not sure if they found anything wrong with the boat but they sure caught some big fish. Plenty of them. The five biggest ones weighed over 20-pounds. They did not mention the boat when they returned. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental is the fun place when the work gets done. Wish you were here. We will not charge you too much. 1-800-635-0526
