Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 560.49 and has risen 6-inches in the last 24-hours with no generation for the last 20-hours.  They did start generating last hour. Tom Kelly reports fishing Float Creek and catchinbg some nice crappie. He says it is in good shape. The rise in water has floated some debris out there so be careful. The creeks with clay banks are brown but rocky banks are much more clear. There is still some runoff coming from the hills but the creeks have almost stopped. More rain is due tomorrow but not too much. The white river at Newport is at nearly 30-feet and they are finally trying to let out water. Do not expect to do much wading in the rivers for quite a while. If they can drop the level a bit in the next few weeks we will be in good shape. We have been working hard here at Blackburns doing improvements and things are really looking good. You will like it when you get here.
