The lake level is 551.97 and is dropping just a bit with some generation in the afternoons. The water is warming up again with a surface temperature in the early 80's with the summerlike weather and highs near 90. The lake is in excellent condition for boating and swimming with low boat traffic. Bass fishing is picking up nicely and reports that crappie fishing is good are exaggerated. You can catch a few but you have to wait them out and they are roaming. Striper fishing has slowed. Big blluegills are biting pretty well on brush. Fish the shady steep banks for bass with a worm and main lake point brush with a spoon. Stay out of the sun when possible. Tom Kelly caught some nice bass this morning.
