The lake level is 561.13 with just a bit of generation and it is creeping up. We received 1.7 inches of rainfall.  They have cut overall generation way down and the level at Newport has dropped to 15-feet on their way to the mythical magic level of 14-ft. They continue to run Table Rock though. Hold and hope is not working. It did not work last year and is not working this year. They seem to be betting on an instant replay. Bink caught a lot of fish yesterday and is out with another of Blackburns Guests again today.  He takes out about 100 trips with our customers a year and it has been a very good long-term relationship. The vast majority of them come back happy. The surface temperature is still in the 57 degree range and is very stubborn about moving up. The water is still stained. Crappie, bluegill and catfish have moved in under the dock and I will put in a trot line when I get time. Some male crappie have moved to the bank in the creeks and walleye are coming in regularly from the main lake in about 20-ft. of water on the spoon. The normal high is 72 and we should get there in a couple of days and the weather outlook for the weekend looks good. Mushrooms are out and the rain brought up more. it is very busy here and we appreciate our loyal customers and do not try and see how much we can get away with charging them but have a policy of continued improvement. All of our profits go right back into the business.
